There has been a serious obsession for laptop computers of late. It looks like the demand is overwhelming the supply as manufacturers are struggling to meet deadlines for shipments. I’m actually awaiting to see what notebook computers get released in the future. The minute $500 notebooks are selling like hot cakes at at minute. I think the concept for such a gadget came from the requirements of the third world. If anybody makes a notebook that has a large screen but is also light at an affordable market price point I think it could be a great success. This is a thing that can be done even today if we gave up speed. Judging from what is going on it looks like we’ll start seeing ultra thin gaming systems. Manufacturers are always searching to differentiate themselves in this competitive market so that keeps things improving.
